Q: What happens if part of my screen comes loose?

All of our systems are designed for easy repairs and maintenance. You can easily replace or re-screen as needed. Most of our systems use a spline screening method, commonly used by window manufacturers across the country. Re-screening is simple—just roll the screen back into place using spline and a screen roller.

Q: What tools do I need?

For installing any of our screening systems , you'll need a drill or power screwdriver to secure the base, snips or shears to trim the base and cap, a standard utility knife to cut the screen, and a screening tool like our RollerKnife for screen installation. For the original Screen Tight system, a non-marking rubber mallet is also required to snap on the cap. For framing systems and aluminum tracks, a chop saw is recommended for cutting to size.

Q: What lengths do the screening systems come in?

Standard lengths are 8 feet. Some systems offer longer or custom lengths available by special order. Please contact a dealer for special order requests.

Q: How large of an opening can I screen?

All of our systems keep screens secure and tight for standard porch openings. For larger openings—over 60 feet without a post—the screen may be slightly looser, but the system will still perform effectively. Our Screen Wall system is designed to handle the largest openings while maintaining the tightest screen tension.
